Indexing & Abstracting
Indexing is what makes a published article findable outside our own site – it's how a paper shows up in a database or search a researcher is already using, gets picked up by citation trackers, and becomes part of the searchable scholarly record rather than sitting in isolation. Every journal we publish is indexed and abstracted in the following databases, with more indexing applications in progress as each journal builds a publication history:

Frequently asked questions
Is Lyra Science indexed in DOAJ, Scopus, or Web of Science?
Not yet. These databases require a journal to have published a minimum number of articles and demonstrated a consistent, reliable editorial process before they'll consider an application – we'll apply once each journal meets that bar.
Why does indexing take time?
Reputable indexes like DOAJ deliberately wait for a track record before listing a journal – it's part of how they keep their own listings trustworthy. It's not a reflection of a journal's quality at launch, just a minimum-history requirement every new journal has to clear.
Does the lack of DOAJ/Scopus indexing mean my article won't be findable?
No. Every article is assigned a DOI and registered with Crossref immediately on publication, independent of any individual database's review timeline – so citations, links, and Google Scholar discovery aren't blocked on this process.
